  • Is there any limit on the size of email attachments that I can send?

  • No. However, there are a number of factors to consider when sending large email attachments.
  • Other mail servers may limit the size of attachments that they can receive.
  • The recipient of your email may have a limited mailbox size and your email may be rejected if it will not fit in their mailbox.
  • Email is not an efficient method for sending large attachments.
  • We recommend:
  • Use WinZip or Stuffit to compress files before attaching them to your email message. Depending on the type of file, compression can dramatically reduce the size of your files and therefore speed the transmitting of your email.
  • Use FTP, Instant Messaging or your web site to share files over 5 MB.
